What computer requirements are necessary to use Zing! Broadband?
You will need to have the second edition or better of Microsoft Windows 98. Our system is also compatible with Macintosh operating systems. At a minimum, your computer should have an Ethernet or USB port. If only a USB port is available, you will need an adapter to connect.
Will Zing! Broadband run on a laptop device?
It can be used on a laptop using the device's USB port. The USB modem will be connected to the laptop through this port. Check the manufacturer specifications for your specific device to ensure that you are using a compatible modem.
Can Zing! Broadband's USB modem be used with a desktop computer?
As long as the desktop device meets the minimum listed requirements and is within an area of coverage, it can be used with Zing! Broadband.
Which operating systems can be used with Zing?
Each modem is able to connect with any Windows 98 system or above. They are also compatible with the Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 systems. Because Linux systems do not require drivers, our modems can be used.
Where can I use Zing! Broadband?
Our service is available anywhere the Zing! Broadband service network covers. Our coverage is constantly expanding, so you should call us if you aren't sure if your rural or other area has service coverage.
How do 3G and 4G compare?
The only difference between the two is how quickly they work. 4G has an Internet speed that is four times faster than 3G. With 4G, you will be able to have faster and more efficient rural wireless service.
How will I be billed for service?
Service is billed monthly to your account, before your service begins.
What types of payment can be used?
We currently accept Discover, American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. This includes any debit card that shows the Visa or MasterCard logo. We are also in the progress of connecting with PayPal to accept online payments and orders through their system.
What hidden fees or charges might I see?
Absolutely none. We promise.
What kinds of contracts exist? Can I cancel service before my contract period ends?
There is a 12 month contract! Plus, get a full refund if you're not happy for any reason at all within the first 10 days!
I have already placed an order for Zing! Broadband. When can I expect to get my system installed?
When you sign your one-year contract, we will be able to provide and activate your modem and antenna. After that, you should receive your equipment through United Postal service within 5 business days.
Can I receive assistance setting up my email account?
Call customer support at 1-866-976-4052 to be guided and assisted in the process of setting up your email. Our representatives can help you through each step!
My trial period has ended and I would like to return my Zing! Broadband equipment. How can I do so?
Call customer support at 1-866-976-4052 and one of our representatives will be able to help you through the process of returning equipment.
What is included in my Warranty?
The warranty includes replacement of any broken modems or antennas, at no extra charge to you. If your equipment seems to have failed, please call customer support to receive replacement assistance.
